Misty Mountain

Misty Mountain

An elegant boutique resort with spacious, aesthetically furnished Wooden Chalets and cottages in a plantation spread across 600 acres that houses the once summer palace to the Regent Queen of Travancore.

You have the crickets conducting an orchestra and plenty of bird-songs to tap your feet to. On our morning safari, you might spot the barking deer, and learn to discern its unique prosody, our property is also an ornithologist’s paradise. Luxury, to us, is a sense of contentment and quietude.

Our specialty is the Tea Experience, which takes you on a journey of folklore and history of the ancient tea trade that traversed these parts of Kerala. Locally sourced tea leaves from our plantations and the onset of our own tea factory have paved way for the Peermade Tea brand, a label of both flavor and quality.

The Travancore royal family were besotted by Peermade, finding it the ideal climate compared to the tropical heat of Trivandrum. So they came to set up a quiet, modest outpost here, made in the traditional Kerala style, wood and stone being the dominant material used. Theirs was a distinct, understated sense of taste, which reflected in their diet too, simple, vegetarian fare utilizing fresh, local produce.Come to Peermade, a place that has been home to many unlikely people, and yet, when you make your way here, you will understand why; in your own way.
