Explore the two major excavation sites of ancient Muziris—Kottappuram and Pattanam. While the ruins of the 16th-century Kottappuram Fort reflect Portuguese colonial might, the Pattanam site has uncovered remnants of a thriving port city with global trade links from the 2nd century BCE to the 10th century CE.
